Here are some of the more advanced battle grounds in World of Warcraft.

Eye of the Storm: This battleground takes place in the Outland zone of Netherstorm, were the goal is to capture the flag in the middle of the BG, bring it back to one of your bases, and keep it. There are four towers: The Fel Reaver Ruins, Mage Tower, Draeni Ruins, and Blood Elf Tower. You earn points for capturing the flag and bringing it to your base. Each Eye of the Storm BG can hold up to 15 horde/alliance players, and people can start playing in this BG at level 61.

Strand of Ancients: This battle ground is a fun new BG introduced in the latest expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. This is pretty much what you do here:

The attacking team, Horde/Alliance, starts off the shore on two boats, splitting the attacking team, and goes south toward the relic.

The defending team starts at the South Graveyard and moves to defensive positions on the beach or on the turrets next to the walls.

There are 6 walls. There are 2 sets of 2 on each side, and then 2 in the middle line to block the way to the end.

There are Siege weapons which will help you destroy the walls, buildings and enemy players.

As you capture graveyards on both sides, more siege engines will spawn at the depots behind the first gates. This will allow faster attacks on the remaining 2 gates.

Graveyards can not be re-captured by the defending team once they have been capped.

Defenders can make use of the turrets on the walls to destroy siege vehicles and kill enemy players.

The faction who reaches the relic in the quicker amount of time wins. The second round attackers have as much time to capture the relic as the opposing team took to attain it, making it (at the most) a 20 minute game.

If neither team captures the relic, the game is considered a tie (Darn! ).

Isle of Conquest:

Isle of Conquest uses a reinforcements system similar to that of Alterac Valley. Every player counts, since the time is against you in this battle ground. If too many of your allies fall to the enemy, the battle will end in defeat. Killing enemy players will reduce their reinforcements by one for each kill, Once your faction’s reinforcements reach their limit, so too does your bid for control of the island and the wealth of resources you’ve fought over.

The Horde keeps and Alliance keeps sit at opposite ends of the island. These citadels contain six easily accessible defensive cannons set on the ramparts, That you can use to fight attackers from the shore off. Even more explosives sit at ease, stowed in the base of the keep along the back wall. Well, they are safe until they fall into enemy hands, which would suck. If they do, though, they can be employed to bring the stone walls down from within, which is actually the explosives only purpose O.O. You can get a good number of achievements here the highest amount of achievement points being 20,

[Isle of Conquest All-Star] In a single Isle of Conquest battle, assault a base, defend a base, destroy a vehicle and kill a player.

Have fun doin BG’s!

Farmer Blinkin is in trouble! He needs your help to find seeds buried before the rabbits eat them.

To begin this mini game, locate a Tool Leprechaun, which can be found at every farming patch throughout the world of RuneScape. Right click the Tool Leprechaun and click “Teleport”. Once inside, you may read the instruction signs near the portal or talk to Mrs. Winkin.

Upon first entrance of the area, you will receive 10 flags.

3.0 – Advice and Tips

First of all, it is important to understand that if you do not like the game “Minesweeper”, then this is not the mini game for you.

Much like Minesweeper, you need to look for mines, then flag them down. Think of mines as seeds, you want to flag them in the same method. To start off, climb over any one of the four stiles leading into the crops. Once in the patch, right click on any holes in the ground and hit “Inspect”. Read what it says; if it says that you have found seeds, right click on the hole and hit “Flag”.

If you inspect a hole and says that there are no seeds, right click and hit the “Dig” button. Once you do that, a number ranging from 1 to possibly even 8 will appear. When you discover numbers you earn points to match their collective value. Like in Minesweeper for example; you dig and a number “1″ pops up, that means that there is one seed around the “1″ see picture below:

As you can see, the “1″ is all alone with 7 other holes around it, that means that one of the holes highlighted in red will have a seed under them. So inspect one of the holes. If you inspect the hole and you see that there are no seeds, dig there and another number will pop up. Unlike in normal Minesweeper, when you dig an area and find no numbers they are not given a value of 0. The numberless spots after digging indicate that no seeds are in the mounds around them, meaning that the holes highlighted in green will not have seeds in them. If you inspect the hole and you see that there is a seed there, flag it and a farmer will come and harvest it.

You may think that bunnies are cute, but they are not. They are very dangerous in this mini game. Once you “Flag” your hole, it attracts bunnies and farmers. You hope that the farmer gets to the flag before the bunny does or else you will lose points and the flag. (It’s suggested that you bring around 10k because when you first start out, you will lose a few flags.) There are things that can be found by digging anywhere in the crop area that are called Ogleroots. If you use them with a bunny, it will stun the bunny for a while, then it will disappear; leaving just the farmer to give you points.

4.0 – Rewards

After you have racked up points, head over to Mrs. Winkin’s World of Seeds. She will be able to reward you for your points. She offers a wide variery of seeds, flags and super compost potions. To be able to buy Super Compost Potion you must of complete Garden of Tranquillity first.

1.0 – Introduction

Fearing that they must go through another time with lack of rum, the pirates of Mos Le’harmless have decided to set up their own still. After a number of arguments however, they have ended up with 2 stills, both of which are attempting to shut the other down as they fight over the rare ingredients. Due to the pirates code that effectively states that ‘no pirates can fight in port’ they have to resort to sabotage, arson and monkey fights.

Trouble Brewing is a mini game heavily based on teamwork, it may be wise to organise your team to decide what everyone is going to do, to maximise your chances of winning. Note that you cannot die during this mini game unless you are poisoned.

2.1 – The Ingredients

There are many ingredients required to be able to distill rum. These are shown below.

Picture

About

Bitternuts
To obtain a bitternut, you must first catch a monkey. Monkeys can be found in the central area of the brewery. The monkey is useless when you first catch it, so you will need to make it identifiable by using a bowl of colored water (red or blue, depending on your team) with the monkey. Then you may use the monkey on a tree and you will eventually receive a bitternut. If youare wearing an M’speak amulet, you can tell the monkey to be quick or be careful, affecting how fast and how often you get the seed. Note that you can only have two monkeys at any given time, and each team can only have twelve monkeys total. You need one bitternut for one bottle of rum.

Sweetgrubs
There are a number of sweetgrub mounds around the islands. To catch sweetgrubs, you must use a piece of raw rat meat with a mound. You will then get a load of sweetgrubs, unless you are attacked by sweetflies, which is much the same as the swarm random event, with higher attack. You can notkill them, and will have to find a new mound to get more sweetgrubs. There is also a chance that the mound will be emptied after you collect the grubs. You will need to find a new mound. You need one load of sweetgrubs for one bottle of rum.

Scrapeytree Bark
Scrapeytree Bark can be obtained by cutting down the not-so-pretty Scrapeytree. It is advised you bring your own hatchet, as you can only get bronze from the workbench. Just chop a Scrapeytree, and you will get some logs. Use a knife with the logs to get the bark. Note there is a small chance you will become diseased (like zogres or fever spiders do) but it only hits up to 4 max, and won’t be too damaging unless you have low cooking or agility and that stat is drained. One load of scrapey bark gives you one bottle of rum.

Coloured Water
You need Red or Blue water next, depending on your team color. You can make this by collecting 5 flowers from the patch that grows by the other team’s brewery. Go back to your own brewery, and use the flowers on the kettle. Use a few empty bowls with the kettle and you will receive some coloured water. You need three bowls of water for one bottle of rum. To speed up the process of getting flowers as a team, you can all trade your flowers to one person and avoid having to run from the base of the enemy to your own with just 5 flowers at a time.

Buckets of Water
You can collect buckets of water by using a bucket with the bamboo pump by the flowers outside your still, or you can use buckets with the large body of water. It takes 5 buckets of water to make one bottle of rum.

Wood
While not a required ingredient, you need wood to keep your boilers at the correct temperature. It’s advised to have a few people on your team cut logs for your log store, so you can make repairs and fill the boilers quickly and easily. When you have collected enough ingredients, the players who contributed will be informed that the bottle is done, and that it needs to be packaged. Click the bottle of rum to package it.

2.2 – Sabotage & Repairs

Players cannot attack each other in port due to pirate code, so you willneed to resort to sabotage. To sabotage, or arson, as its proper name is,you must have a torch and a tinderbox. Use the tinderbox on the torch to setit aflame, and then use the torch with a hopper, bamboo pipe, or bridgesection.

To repair pieces of the still that are on fire, use a bucket of water on it, then use the appropriate repair substance (Bamboo Pipe, Bridge Section,Lumber Patch). Which can either be obtained at the beginning on the gamefrom the workbench (10 defaults for each) or by using a log on the workbench, which will bring up and interface much like fletching. You can then choosethe normal 1, 5, 10, or X options.

You can also set the other team’s water pump and trees on fire. Water pumps can be repaired by dousing the flames with a bucket of water, and then using a bamboo pipe on it. Trees do not need to be repaired, but if left to burn, will take longer to regenerate.

Defence

You can defend your stills by pumping the pressure lever. If you stop andselect the “Vent” option, you can put out all fires, and deal damage to theclosest players to each one, hitting up to 10 damage.

2.3 – Experience

You receive experience for doing various things to the rum. Putting ingredients into the hopper, doing steps towards an ingredient, andsabotaging the other team will provide this experience.
Note: * indicates that the item is being added to the hopper

1.0 – Introduction

Temple Trekking

Temple Trekking is a very simple concept for a mini game: get a villager of Burgh de Rott from point A to point B. While on your travels you will encounter many obstacles, ranging from Ghasts to bogs or giant snails, you will have to defend your villager through thick and thin or you’ll get nothing for the task. Choosing from three paths (varying in difficulty), you will travel from Burgh de Rott to the temple on the River Salve and receive your reward.

Note that before you can start, you must have completed Priest in Peril, Nature Spirit, In Search of the Myreque and In Aid of the Myreque.

Burgh de Rott Ramble

As the state of the citizens of Burgh de Rott became apparent to travellers, villagers in Paterdomus are wanting to help their fellow man, but none of them know the way to Burgh de Rott. Are you up to the task of guiding them through the Morytania swamp?

Before you can begin Burgh de Rott Ramble, you must also have completed the Darkness Of Hallowvale quest.

2.0 – How to Get There

The best place to start this mini game off at is in Paterdomus since it’s the easiest place to get to. There are a few different ways you can get there and each of them are explained below along with any requirements they may have.

Method 1: Teleporting

Requirements:

Level 50 Construction

Must have completed the Desert Treasure quest

Must have a chapel inside your player-owned house

This method is the easiest way to get to Paterdomus. Teleport to your house and go into your portal chamber. Use the portal that teleports you to Canifis and then head southwest.

Method 2: Ectofuntus Teleport

Requirements:

Must have completed the Ghosts Ahoy quest

Use your ectophial to teleport to the Ectofungus and head west. Once you see Mazchana the slayer master, head south into Canifis and then soutwest from there.

Method 3: Walking

Requirements:

Priest in Peril Quest

Start off from the Varrock east bank and continue to head east until you walk out of the city. Head north and then east when you come to a statue. Open the gate and follow the pathway up until you reach a church. Once there, head north into the trapdoor and follow the path. After you get out of the underground area, head north along the bridge and you will come to your destination.

Method 4: Fairy Rings

Requirements:

Start Fairy Tale Part II, A quest, Dramen Staff

Goto the fairy ring in Zanaris. A good way to get there is to use the fairy ring east of Edgeville. Then go to combination CKS and you will be teleported near the mushroom patch south-west of Canifis.

3.0 – Gameplay

3.1 – Villagers & Adventurers

Now that you have your equipment ready, it’s time to head out. If this is your first trek, you will need to speak to Veliaf, to get all the villagers out by the well. These are the voyagers who you will trek with throughout the mini game.

There are six villagers and six adventurers for you to choose from, ranging in level of difficulty to protect. If you choose to protect a hard villager or adventurer, you will receive a far better reward – as they are far harder to protect than the easy villagers and adventurers. This is shown in the table below:

To increase the NPC follower chances of survival you can provide food to all characters you guide to either Burgh de Rott or to Canifis. Though you give the specific food to one character, they all share it. The character can only carry a maximum of 15 pieces of food, but you can give more food during events; simply use the food with the character you are guiding. The following foods can be given to the NPC followers:

Once you have chosen which villager you are going to safeguard throughout the trek, you get to choose a route. Again, these vary in level of difficulty, with better rewards being given for the harder treks. Route one is easiest, route two is medium, and route three is the hardest. Once you pick your route, the trek begins, so make sure you choose well.

Before you begin, here are a few points of information:

The easier routes have battle areas, where swamps and reeds can shield you from some monsters.

As a monster attempts to attack your villager, kill that one off first. If they’re stacked on top of each other, make your villager visible to them by standing sideways and the monster may separate from the pack.

Route three has nothing but traps.

Combine a hard or medium route with a weak villager, and you may receive the best reward possible.

If you fail a route, you will be dropped off in a random area of Mort Myre swamp.

If you were on route three, you may be let out near the Hollows, – the secret route to Canifis – which is opened during the In Search of the Myreque quest.

The ‘head’ monster with its flailing tentacles only appears on route three.

Upon completing your trek, you will be near Drezel’s temple. From here you can teleport, or head east to Canifis to bank.

Each route presents its own dangers, but the level of difficulty depends on the route you choose. Here are some of the more basic differences between the routes:

This route is designed for lower to medium level players who like a little challenge.
In taking this route, you will have many encounters with enemies or obstacles. You can however, evade encounters with monsters if you wish, but you must do the puzzles.

Far more difficult than route one, this route provides a greater challenge to medium to high level players.
Most of the enemies you may face are over level 100, and often come in groups, so it will be a tough trek. You must kill half of the enemies that attack you to evade them. As with route one, you cannot evade puzzles.

The hardest route of them all: for the high levels only! (Suggested 100+ combat)
All beasts you will encounter on this route exceed level 100, and are very vicious. However, you may not encounter that many beasts at all on this trek, but when you do… you will be trapped and in for the long haul unless you wish to leave the mini game. This route does not offer the ability to evade anything. Be careful.

3.2 – Beasts and Puzzles

The trek will not be easy, as you and your charge will encounter powerful creatures or annoying puzzles along the way. The level, and number of these encounters depend upon the route you chose. These are shown below:

Encounters

Description

Fast, strong and deadly Giant Snakes can be tough. Weak villagers die quickly if you’re not careful.

Giant Snakes are often found in big open areas; who they attack first is random. Ensure that you use protect from melee, or their strong, quick attacks will do you in quickly. Just pick them off one at a time until they’re all gone.

Once you’ve killed them, you can use a knife on the dead snakes to obtain its skin, which can be crafted into snakeskin armour.

Vampyre Juvinates are a real pain: you can only use your Rod of Ivandis, Ivandis Flail, or silver sickle to kill them. You may also use silver bolts to range them.

Although they aren’t that strong, it’s a good idea to turn on protect from melee, and drink a dose of your super strength/ attack potions when you run into them on route three.

It’s easier to kill them off on route one and two, so you may be able to kill them naturally, without prayer or potions, depending on your level.

The black Shades can either be very easy, or very hard to kill, depending on what equipment you’ve brought with you.

Generally, they line up behind one another, waiting for their turn to attack you, meaning you can fight one at a time. One or two might attack from a different side, but it makes little difference. Also, most of the time you act as a blocker between them and your villager so there isn’t much to worry about if you stay still while they attack you. If the villager is facing the Shades, and he’s blocking them from you, then simply step on the same square as your village, and he’ll hide himself behind you.

Be very careful here if you have one of the harder villagers to protect: if a Shade gets them, it’s generally over pretty quickly, unless you can kill the Shade in a couple of attacks.

Don’t worry about losing here though, as you’re right next to the bridge leading to Burgh de Rott, so you can start again easily.

The Head with the flailing tentacles can be a real bother. However, if dealt with correctly, you’ll have bypassed it in no time.

With this encounter, you will be on a small boat; four level 99 tentacles surrounding the boat, and a level 140 head in the middle. They will all attack you at once, so ensure that you enable protect from melee. To kill it, you need to beat all the tentacles first, then the head. A good strategy to use is poisoning the body parts. This poison will affect both the tentacles and the head.

When you start, the villager will be standing defenceless in one of the corners, with a tentacle attacking it. The trick to protecting the villager, is to attack the tentacle he is nearest to first. The tentacles are fairly weak, and will die fast. Once you clear the corner your villager is in, he’ll be safe unless you move. Kill the tentacles in succession, to ensure that your villager is protected behind you.

The Giant Snails are very easy to kill. They use a very rapid ranged attack which can deal a large amount of damage, so ensure that you use the Protect from Missiles prayer here, or wear a Snelm.

Pick them off one by one until they’re all gone. The snails drop Giant snail shells, which you can pick up. They can be exchanged for coins and some crafting experience in Dorgesh-Kaan. Wearing snelms will reduce the chance that snails hit you greatly.

These aren’t regular Ghasts: they still drain your Druid pouches, but are much, much stronger.

Be very careful here: if you don’t have enough druid pouches, you will find that they will rot all of your food in a matter of seconds. If you don’t have enough pouches, there are an abundance of logs, trees and sticks laying around that you can cast bloom on, to replenish your supply of pouches. Make sure that you enable protect from melee while you attack them.

Don’t worry as much about your villager, as the ghasts tend to go after you the most.

This puzzle can be tough if you don’t know what you should be doing. Read the instructions carefully.

Firstly, search the backpack on the ground, just near the river, and you will find a knife. Now go near the river, and cut the hanging vines on the tree. Use the vines with each other to make a long vine. Now use this on the highest branch you can see, then right click it, and choose the ‘swing across’ option. The villager will follow you.

For this fairly simple puzzle, you will need at the least, two free inventory spaces. If you’re full of food, use them on your villager so they don’t go to waste. Now, near here, you should find a spiny bush. Simply use a weapon with a blade on it, and you will receive some sticks. If you don’t have a bladed weapon, you can just try walking out on the bog blind, as failing deals no damage.

Now that you have the sticks, you can cross the bog. Simply use a stick with a space in the bog, and if you get a message saying the ground seems firm, walk onto that spot. If the ground is too soft, ignore it and move on. The reason you need multiple sticks, is because one may get stuck in the bog, and you’ll lose it.

If you run out of sticks, retrace your steps back and cut some more sticks off the spiny bush. Remember to keep track of the path you took though, as you can take it again. Once you’re across, your villager will follow automatically.

This puzzle is quite easy. There are two types of events including the bridge. One with trees and one without. The event with trees requires an axe of yours, or you can kill the zombie for a bronze axe. Cut tree logs and then use them on the bridge, using a hammer and a knife

The event without trees will require a bit of combat. Once you get this event, undead lumberjacks will start roaming of the river. To pass this event, kill 3 lumberjacks to acquire 3 planks and then use them on the bridge to across it.

Lumberjacks will also drop lumberjack clothing, which give more experience per log cut. The full set will give 2.5% more experience per log. Keep in mind that you can only receive one part of the clothing per event.

He will heal you, and add a few bonus hit points onto your level. He will also, amazingly, unrot your rotten food.

The Nail Beast hits often but low and drops nail beast nails which you can use with a super restore potion, unicorn horn dust and snake weed to make a sanfew serum. They are easy to fight with range.

The nail beast poses a strong threat to the mage and adventurer.

The Starving Travelers is an event where you must feed 3 to 5 people before they turn into Ghasts. There is a bronze axe lying in the vicinity, a tinderbox next to the extinguished fire, a few dead trees, and some blamish snails that can be cooked to feed the travelers. Their condition will worsen from “sick” to “very sick” and then “ghastly!” before they turn into Ghasts.

The Vyrewatch is an event which you can get after completion of Legacy of Seergaze. To be able to kill them you must use the Flail of Ivandis.

Vyrewatch will attack in huge groups and in wide open areas so this can be a tough challenge. Stand in front of your villager to make sure none of them can harm him. It’s advised to use prayer potions because the flail of Ivandis isn’t very accurate so battles can last awhile.

You must cross the bog, without sinking. You walk to a certain point to test the ground, if its good you stay afloat, if not you sink and have to start over again.

4.0 – Suggested Equipment

The equipment you take all depends on which method you’re using. This section will outline two different methods that you can use to tackle this mini game and what their items consist of.

Before that though, the basic inventory that you need for this mini game will be explained below. Each method uses these items and knowing what they’re used for will help you out greatly.

Silver Sickle (b) is used to cast bless and refill your druid pouch.

Druid Pouches allows you to damage Ghasts.

Rod of Ivandis is a weapon that can harm Vampyre Juvinates.

Flail of Ivandis is the only weapon that can harm Vyrewatch. It can also be used as a substitute for the Silver Sickle (b) and Rod of Ivandis.

Guthix Balance seals a Vampyre Juvinate.

Now here are the two different methods that can be used to successfully beat this mini game.

This method is the one that is most used because it doesn’t have many requirements to use. It offers a lot of flexibility depending on your skill levels and that’s one of the reasons on why it’s so widely used.

Alternative: Warrior ring, Ring of life

Suggested Inventory

» Silver sickle (b)

» Druid pouch

» Rod of Ivandis

» Guthix balance

» House teleport tab

» Dragon dagger p++

» Prayer potion

» Super attack and strength potion

» Shark, monkfish, or lobster

Note: If you have the flail of Ivandis then you should use that instead of a silver sickle (b) and rod of Ivandis.

Basically for this method you’ll need to have a chapel room in your house. When you complete the mini game, teleport to your house and pray at the altar. You can either use an ectophial or a portal in your house that goes to Canifis to get back to Paterdomus.

5.0 – Rewards

The reward you receive depends on what route you trekked, which villager you protected, and how many encounters you completed. Each route has a different reward token. Route one is blue, route two is yellow and route three is red.

Your reward will be random and you will get one of the following items:

*For the grimy herbs you will only obtain harralander, tarromin, and toadflax.

A Tome of Learning is a rather rare reward from a trek that gives some experience in a certain skill. There are different tomes for each route, and the color of the tome matches the color of the reward token. The skills that have Tomes for them are Agility, Firemaking, Fishing, Mining, Slayer, Thieving and Woodcutting. The experience you get depends on your route:

 » Route 1: 550-1,100

 » Route 2: 990-2,035

 » Route 3: 990-4,015

Though not technically a “reward” of temple trekking, lumberjack clothing is an added bonus that can be obtained from the Broken Bridge test. Each piece of lumberjack clothing (hat, top, legs, boots) gives a small woodcutting XP bonus for every log you chop. When all pieces are worn together, you get a 2.5% increase in the amount of XP you obtain per log. Keep in mind that you can only receive one part of the outfit per event. The best way to get them though is to use route 1 each time. This is the easiest route and ensures that there won’t be any tough challenges. You can also skip challenges to make it go by quicker.

6.0 – Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I just went on an extremely hard trek, and didn’t get a Tome, and the rest of my reward was junk! What’s up with that?A: The rewards are completely random for each route, and are based on: the difficulty of the route; the difficulty of protecting your villager; the number of encounters you complete. Tomes are quite uncommon: you shouldn’t expect to get them.

Q: How many encounters do you get on Route three?A: It’s fairly random, the amount of beasts or puzzles you encounter, but from personal experience, the most I’ve had is four.

Q: What are the giant snail shells used for?A: The giant snail shells can be exchanged in Dorgesh-Kaan for some gp and crafting experience. Perfect shells will give more money and experience than regular shells.

1.0 – Introduction

The Tears of Guthix mini game is a game that you can do weekly in RuneScape to gain a bit of extra experience in your lowest skill. To be able to play the game, you must complete the Tears of Guthix quest. Juna keeps the bowl you make during the quest so you do not need to remake one or bring one every time you visit. The Tears of Guthix mini game is located at the end of Lumbridge Caves.

2.0 – Gameplay

Once you have completed the Tears of Guthix quest, you are able to visit Juna once a week if you have completed a new quest or if you have gained 100,000 experience. If you try to visit Juna 2 times in a week despite gaining 100k experience or a recently released quest, you will be unable to enter until the week is up. Juna is the guardian of the game and likes to be entertained by your stories before you enter the game.

3.0 – Suggested Equipment

The game is located in the back of the Lumbridge swamp caves so be sure to take your lantern and your spiny helmet. Also, in order to play this mini game, you must have both your hands free of items. This allows you to hold the bowl after you talk to Juna. If you have something in your hands such as a weapon or a shield, you will be told to remove those items.

4.0 – Strategies

The object of the game is to collect as many blue tears as you can within a certain time limit. The time limit depends on how many quest points you have. For example, if you have 100 quest points, you will have 100 seconds to collect tears.

As the tears are governed by Guthix, the god of balance, you are only able to collect blue tears. For every green tear you collect, your blue tear count will drop. Be aware: the flow of tears randomly swaps between blue and green, so you won’t stand in the same spot for your time in there. Although the tears may change on the wall you’re on, it’s best not to move around too much, as lag can cause you to miss collecting a number of tears. As a general rule stick to one wall and move within the three tears unless all three are empty or green. This saves time because moving to another wall takes more time.

5.0 – Rewards

The rewards for the tears you collect is based on your lowest level skill. Once your lowest level skill is above 30, every tear you collect will give you 60 experience. Therefore, if you manage to collect 100 tears, that gives you a total of 6,000 XP to your lowest skill. For those with lower stats, this could mean a gain of several levels per trip to Juna. If you are below level 30, you can still get experience, however each tear does not give the full 60exp but rather a proportion of it in terms of your level.

6.0 – FAQ

Q: On average, how many tears do you get per mini game?A: As a general rule, you get about 1 tear for every 2 quest points. For someone with 100 quest points, you can expect to get about 50 tears although this may vary due to your luck.

Q: How often can I play this mini game?A: You can play this mini game once a week, If you try to play too often, Juna will tell you how much longer you must wait. You can also check how long until you can play again by looking at the Tears of Guthix quest in the quests tab.

1.0 – Introduction

The Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup is a woodcutting mini game situated in Tai Bwo Wannai. To be eligible to have a go at this mini game, you must have completed the Jungle Potion quest. There are a few random treasures that you could happen to come across whilst playing this mini game. These include gem rocks and gout-tuber plants.

1.1 – How to Get There

There are a few ways you can get to Tai Bwo Wannai: You could take the gnome glider to Shilo Village, then head north-west and west. Or you could take the Ardougne boat to Brimhaven and walk south. Or use the N. Karamja teleport on your amulet of glory and walk west to Brimhaven, then south to the village. You can also take the Fairy Ring to just west of Shilo Village and run north.

1.2 – What to Bring

To be able to do this mini game effectively, you will need some of the following items:

» 20,000gp for the general store, so you can buy anti-poison potions if you run out.

» A Pickaxe for gem rocks which can randomly show when you hack your jungle.

» A Spade to dig up Gout Tuber plants which spawn randomly when you hack through the jungle.

» A Machete for hacking jungle and repairing fences.

Optional equipment:

» Restore potions: Broodoo Victim lowers your stats. Use sparingly.

» Anti-poisons: Tribesman and Bush Snakes are poisonous. These are also helpful in killing Broodoo Victims. Alternatively you can bring a blessed prayer book and saradomin symbol, with use of the alter that you get access to after completion of Tai Bwo Wannai Trio.

» Food: Assists in killing Pale and Drawn Broodoo Victims by using food on them. Alternatively, you can just kill the chickens and cook them on the fire nearby.

» Relicym’s Balm: Assists in killing Pale Yellow Broodoo Victims. You can buy these from Uglug Nar (south from Castle Wars) once you have completed Zogre Flesh Eaters quest.

There are also a few pieces of equipment that you could take:

» Equipment with high magical defence, as Broodoo Victims cast magic.

» A strong weapon, to easily kill any threats or annoyances.

» A ring of duelling or ring of life, and a charged amulet of glory, just in case.

Finally, if you wear villagers’ clothing, you get more trading sticks at one time.

2.0 – Favour

There are several ways you can raise your favour. You can hack your way through the jungle, repair fences, or kill threats. These are detailed below.

Hacking Jungle

To begin hacking the jungle, you first need to talk with Murcaily. He’ll tell you that you need to wield a form of machete, to hack away at the jungle. There are three types of jungles: light jungle (level-10), medium jungle (level-20) and dense jungle (level-35). From every fully grown jungle you chop, you get four thatch spars.

Repair Fences

To repair fences you need to be wielding your machete and have some Thatching Spars. You can use any of the three kinds of Thatch Spars: Thatch Spar Light, Thatch Spar Med, and Thatch Spar Dense. The Thatching Spars are obtained by hacking the jungle as show above. You will earn both favour and woodcutting experience while repairing the fences.

3.0 – Threats

When you are hacking the jungles, there can be many threats that are hiding in these jungles. When you kill the threats you get favour from the village. For more information on how to kill these threats take a look at the monster section of this guide.

If you have completed The Great Brain Robbery you can use the book of prayers from the quest with a holy symbol to cure you if you are poisoned. Right click the book and select ‘cure poison’ with a equipped. This saves your antipoisons for killing broodoo victims. This requires prayer points so the completion of Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest is a requirement to use the tribal statue.

Getting Trading Sticks

When you have 60%+ favour, you can talk to villagers to get trading sticks; below is a list:

If you wear tribal clothes when you speak to the villagers, they will recognise you and give you a larger percentage of your rewards. This amount is approximately twice as much.

Murcaily – Speak to this person to begin the mini game, he also allows you access to the Hardwood Grove after paying 100 trading sticks. Located in this grove, are a group of mahogany and teak trees for you to woodcut.

Karaday – Upon completion of the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest, you can recharge your prayer nearby this person.

Rionasta – Found below the Chieftains’ house. Runs the parcel service. Pay 10 sticks for every item you wish to transfer to your bank (includes stackable items).

Gabooty – Runs the General Store where you can buy villager’s clothes and sell Gnome drinks..

Sharimika and Layleen – Climb up a ladder to find these two NPC’s. Sharimika can teach you about the jungle, and Layleen is a village child.

Mamma Bufetta – Climb the ladders to get to Sharimika and Layleen then climb down the ladder next to Sharimika. She teaches you how to cook Spider on a Stick.

Safta Doc – He makes all types of machetes if don’t already have one. You’ll need your favour to at least 35% before he makes you one. Opal Machete: 3 opals (cut or uncut), 1 Gout tuber plant and 300 Trading sticks; Jade Machete: 3 Jades (cut or uncut), 1 Gout tuber plant and 600 Trading sticks; Red Topaz Machete: 3 Red Topaz (cut or uncut), 1 Gout tuber plant and 1200 Trading sticks.

Fanellaman – Located near the boat.

Jagbakoba – Located just to the south of Tai Bwo Wannai, near him is the only fire in Tai Bwo Wannai.

Alternatively, some locals also drop trading sticks when killed.

1.0 – Introduction

Remember, this is a member’s only mini-game.

Ever since the God Wars left its mark on RuneScape, the Wilderness is a cursed and awful place. The boundaries between the worlds seem thinner here than usual, and it has become a site for strange phenomena. One of these is a portal to a place composed of ?sacred clay?. It is likely that the gods shaped the world and all living beings from this very clay in the earliest times of the universe. A group of mystics have found and stabilised this portal and are in search of brave explorers, seeking for an adventure.

Stealing Creation is a mini game based on teamwork, it may be wise to organise your team to decide what everyone is going to do, to maximise your chances of winning. Note that even though the mini game is classed as safe, you can die. All equipment used is made in the mini game, you will lose these items in death.

Requirements:

None

Recommendations:

You cannot take items into Stealing Creation.

2.0 – Gameplay

Stealing Creation can be started by talking to the Head Mystic, located at the portal south-west of the stairs to the Wilderness Volcano. He will offer to take you through a tutorial to give you a better understanding of the game. If you have any items still with you, you can deposit these in the Deposit box south-east of the portal.

After the tutorial, you will be taken back to RuneScape where you can choose out of two different styles of games, being “Clan match” and “Free-for-all match”. In the Clan match you will be able to fight against different clans, and team up with with 2 other clans. The Free-for-all match, as the name suggests, is free for anyone wanting to play the game. You can pick a side by climbing over one of the two stiles.

2.1 – Types of matches

Free-for-all match

Starting this type of match can be done by jumping into one of the fenced-off waiting areas located west of the portal. While you are waiting, you’ll see a small interface indicating how many combat and skill levels each team has, as shown below.

Clan match

Starting this type of match can be done by entering the large waiting area located east of the portal. The first member of a clan to enter this area will be made clan leader and can issue challenges or offer alliances to other clan leaders. As clan leader, all you have to do is right-click another clan leader and choose the option ‘Ally’ or ‘Challenge’. Accepting an offer made can be done by right-clicking that person and choosing the ‘Ally’ option. A maximum of three clans can be allied on both sides.

2.2 – Gathering and processing recources

When you arrive in the Primordial Realm, you will find yourself inside your team’s storage room. The objective in this mini game is to collect more sacred clay than your opponent, either in its raw form or processed as an item. Inside the storage room, you’ll find a number of tables which are used to store sacred clay and items made of sacred clay. You can take any items your team has produced from these to use in fights, to gather more resources or secure resources. To see what sort of resources are available in your area of the realm, you can talk to your team’s Mystic. He will show you a graph which shows how much of each type of clay is available, as shown on the image below.

The game relies on teamwork and there are a number of jobs and activities you can do, ranging from gathering resources to fighting opponents. In order to win, you’ll need a healthy balance of fighters and skillers in your team, in order to secure and gather as many resources as possible. All activities will be explained below.

Gathering and processing resources

At the start of a game, you will need to gather clay fragments, so that you can construct tools from them to harvest from beter sources. Clay fragments are always class 1 which means that anyone, regardless of their skill levels, is able to pick these up. When you have collected some of this Sacred clay (class 1), you can convert these into tools by using a kiln so that you can collect higher classes for better equipment. Kilns are located all over the area and can be used by clicking on it while you have some clay in your inventory. There are a small number of rules that control how clay can be used at a kiln, which are explained below:

Class 1 clay can only be used to make class 1 items, higher classes will make the highest level of equipment you are able to make, as long as the clay is good enough.

Each class of equipment has a level requirement to be able to use and make it, gathering clay works in the same way as shown in the table below.

Class

Level requirement

4

Level 60 in the relevant skills

5

Level 80 in the relevant skills

When clicking on the kiln, an interface will appear. To make an item, select the type of equipment you need on the left, select the specific item in the middle and select the type of clay you wish to use on the right, as the image below shows.

Assuming you have the clay and an appropriate skill level to make the item with that clay, the item will be made and appear in your inventory.

There are four different types of tools you can make, each of which can be used on a specific type of clay resource, as listed below:

2.3 – Controlling resources

Securing resources

Another aspect your team will be judged on, in addition to collecting clay, is the control of resources. To control a resource, you need to build 4 barriers around it, which can be made by using the kiln. You need a certain Construction level to make and place these barriers.

When the barriers are set up around a resource, only players of your team will be able to access it. Your opponent has the ability to break down the walls and you have the ability to repair them if damaged. The higher the class of the barriers, the more damage they can take.

Engaging in combat

Another way to help your team out, and gathering clay and items, is by attacking the players of the opposite team. Every player of the opposite team, regardless of their combat level, can be attacked. Any foe you defeat will drop all of his items (unless he has the Protect Item Prayer active), which you can pick up and return to the tables in your base.

If you die, you will respawn either at your base or the nearest resource your team controls.

The equipment used to fight your opponents can either be made by yourself, using the kiln, or taken from the tables in your storage room if you do not have the skill requirements to make them yourself, but this will reduce your individual score. Food can also be made, every class heals for a certain amount of hit points, as shown in the table below.

Food class

4

16 Hitpoints

5

20 Hitpoints

Pickpocketing

Not a fan of direct combat? You can always pickpocket your opponents! By pickpocketing your opponents, you can gather the resources they collect and make a significant impact on their ability to gather clay.

In order to steal from an opponent, your Thieving level must be no less than 20 levels below his level. To pickpocket, right-click your opponent and select ‘Pickpocket’.

Extra features

There are a few more features you can make use of in Stealing Creation, such as Fog Banks, Altars and Familiars.

Fog Banks can be used to hide in to ambush your opponent, as they make you completely invisible (you even disappear from the mini-map).

Altars are spread out over the whole realm and are free for use to everyone unless blocked by barriers. The altars in this realm not only restore your Prayer points, but also your run energy and Summoning points as well.

Familiars can be summoned to be used for storage as well as combat. The amount of items a familiar can store as well as his combat level depends on the type of clay used to produce the pouch, as shown in the table below.

3.0 – Rewards

The rewards from Stealing Creation can be paid for by using the points gained from playing games, all statistics are shown below. All of the items can be morphed into the corresponding piece of the other sets; for example, a Sacred clay helmet can be morphed into a Sacred clay coif or hat. However, the items need to be recharged after a certain amount of experience is gained. Refer to the FAQ section on how much XP until armour degrades. You can find the list of the rewards by talking to the Mystic in the north-eastern tent.

Now, here are the armours/weapons you can get using your reward points:

The volatile tool, as the name suggests, can be turned into any tool at random. The tool, when activated, will randomly turn into one of the seven tools (hatchet, butterfly net, hammer, harpoon, knife, needle or pickaxe). While using the tools, you will gain a 120% boost from the amount of normal experience. The volatile tool will stay in that shape for a certain number of uses (based on your level in the specific skill the tool requires) before it reverts back to its original state. The tool will revert to its original state ten times before it needs to be recharged.

The Morphic tool works the same way as the Volatile too, except the player gets to choose what it becomes. Like the volatile tool, the morphic tool rewards double the amount of experience when used. The tool will stay in the same shape until the charge is used up. The charge drains as it is used (based on your level in the specific skill the tool requires). However, the morphic tool drains slightly faster than the volatile tool.

You can check the amount of charge left in both tools by right-clicking them and selecting “Count-charges”.

Q: Do I get any experience for creating items? (Fletching for arrows ect.)

A: Likewise with the combat experience, getting experience points for creating items is no longer possible.

Q: Can I receive combat experience?

A: When the game was first released it WAS possible to gain combat experience. However, since the game has been updated, combat experience is no longer rewarded in this mini-game.

Q: How much total combat XP can you hit before your armour fully degrades?

A: It’s been researched in-game, and it’s said that after a total of 150,000 fighting XP, it’ll fully degrade. The helmet and sacred clay top are both 34,000 XP before it degrades.

1.0 – Introduction

Soul Wars is a team based mini-game a lot like Castle Wars. You have bandages for healing, barricades for blocking, and explosive potions for attacking. Players can face off against each other as long as they’re on two opposing teams. What’s the difference then, you ask? Well, instead of a flag, there’s a level 525 avatar at each base. And instead of capturing it, you must defeat it!

To get to this mini-game you’ll need to head to Edgeville. Towards the west of the ruined chapel is a portal. This is the entrance to Soul Wars. Note that this is a SAFE mini-game, so take your best equipment!

2.0 – Interface

Lobby

The lobby is where it all begins. A bank can be found towards the northern end of this room. Use it to bank for any supplies you may need or need to deposit. Next to the bank is an NPC called Nomad. Nomad has knowledge of the Soul Wars mini-game, and will help explain the concept of it. He will either give you a video demonstration or a book explaining the rules, depending on what you want. Finally, he also sells various rewards. To obtain the rewards you must obtain zeal points, which is done by winning a game of Soul Wars.

There are various areas spread out in the lobby as well. Two separate rooms of graveyards can be found in the center of the lobby. It doesn’t serve any real purpose other than looks though. Towards the southern end is a green portal and two coloured barriers. This is how teams are decided. Players that wish to be on the blue team must enter the blue barrier, and likewise with red. The green portal, however, is arbitrary. Entering this portal will put you on a random team. This is useful if you just want to jump right into the action. Inside the portal’s waiting room there will be some information presented. The amount of players on each team will be shown in the top right and the time until the next game will be shown below that. Players will only have to wait a few minutes for entry; not until the game ends.

Gaming Interface

The interface inside the mini-game can be confusing at first, but it’s simple once you try and understand it.

3.0 – Gameplay

The object of this game is simple: destroy your opponents avatar to receive one point. Repeat this process and be the team who’s Avatar has the least deaths after twenty minutes to win the game. Easy, right? Well, it’s not that simple. There are a few factors that surround hurting the avatar. Before getting into that though, it’s wise to know the layout and how it works. The arena that you fight in is composed of four main areas: Red Base, Blue Base, Soul Obelisk, and Graveyards. Each of these places holds a significance and plays a key role in whether a team wins or loses.

3.1 – Red & Blue Bases

Your base is one of the most important areas in this mini-game. If you allow it to get taken over with the opposing team, then defeat will soon follow. That’s why it’s imperative to protect it with your life. Inside the base are two key places: the armoury and the avatar’s chamber.

Avatar’s Chamber

Next to the player spawn room will be an island surrounded by lava. On this island is a being that is called an avatar. The avatar is a huge, bulking beast with a combat level of 525. It’s your duty to protect him from the enemy. If you let him die, then the opposing team will gain one point. This also goes for attacking the enemy’s avatar as well. The avatar, however, is safe for a time being. He can only be harmed if he’s weakened (more on this will be explained below).

Armoury

The armoury is where all your supplies are held. Since healing items can’t be brought inside this mini-game, you should stock up on things here. The supplies in here range from bandages to exploding potions. Each of those items do the following:

Used to destroy structures like barricades and such.

3.2 – Graveyards

There are two graveyards in the Soul Wars arena. One on the blue team’s side and one on the red team’s side. Their purpose is to serve as spawn points for players who die. To spawn there though, your team must control that graveyard. Your team must have more members than the opposing team and must stay there for an allotted time to control it. Control can be stolen by the other team if they camp there long enough. Graveyards are very helpful to winning this mini-game.

The graveyard is also used to raise the level of your team’s avatar. For every regular bone buried in your own graveyard, the required level to attack the avatar increases by 1. Burying bones will sometimes be unsuccessful and the avatar’s level will not rise. If successful, however, then you’ll also restore some of your Prayer points along with the level increase.

3.3 – Soul Obelisk

At the center of the Soul Wars arena lies a huge obelisk connected by two bridges. This obelisk has the ability to weaken your opponents avatar. Avatar’s start off with a level of 100. This means that nobody can harm it unless they have level 100 Slayer (which is impossible because capes of achievement can’t be brought inside the game). If the tower weakens it to level 80, then anybody with a Slayer level of 80 and above can harm him.

To charge the Soul Obelisk you must obtain soul fragments. Soul fragments are dropped by the pyrefiends and jellies that roam around the arena. These monsters are exactly like their counterparts where you will need the required Slayer level to harm them (30 for pyrefiends and 52 for jellies). For each soul fragment used on the obelisk, the avatar’s level will be lowered by one. If you would like to raise your team’s avatar level, then simply bury bones of the enemies you defeat (they must be buried in a graveyard). One level will be gained for every bone buried. Remember though that your team must control the obelisk if you want to offer soul fragments to it. That’s done by having a greater number of teammates in the vicinity of the Soul Obelisk for a certain period of time.

4.0 – Suggested Equipment

This mini-game allows you total freedom when it comes to equipment. You can mix and match however you please. The equipment listed below is merely a suggestion and should not be regarded as the only way to go about this mini-game. It’s recommended that you try out your own style to see what suits you best.

4.1 – Melee Method

Recommended Melee Equipment

A high strength bonus should be the prime focus for a melee setup. It allows you to plow through your enemies at a much quicker rate. You can also focus on defence instead if you don’t have strength boosting equipment.

4.2 – Mage Method

Recommended Mage Equipment

Alternative: Mystic boots

» Seers ring

Alternative: Lunar ring, Beacon ring

Magic is a method that should focus solely on offensive tactics. The reason is because that magic equipment have terrible defence bonuses. With that in mind, the strongest wave or ancient magick spell should be used. If you’re using ancients though, then a mix of freezing and blood spells would be wise. The blood spells would heal you while the freezing would damage enemies

4.3 – Range Method

Recommended Range Equipment

» Armadyl chestplate

Alternative: Void knight top, Black d’hide top

» Armadyl plateskirt

Alternative: Void knight robe, Black d’hide chaps

» Crystal bow

Alternative: Rune c’bow, Magic shortbow

» RFD gloves

Alternative: FoG gauntlets, Black d’hide vambraces

» Ranger boots

Alternative: Snakeskin boots

» Archer ring

Alternative: None

If a rune crossbow is being used, then ruby (e) bolts, diamond (e) bolts, and rune bolts are recommended. Diamond (e) bolts will lower the range defence of an enemy while ruby (e) bolts will lower your opponents health by 20%. Rune bolts are used for the remaining hitpoints.

5.0 – Strategies

Soul Wars consists of many different strategies. Your teams needs to evenly distribute teammates into specific jobs in order to go through this game efficiently. If one job isn’t being worked on, then the entire team could suffer. The following jobs are:

Soul Fragment Collecting

Collecting soul fragments is one of the biggest roles in this mini-game. Soul fragments have the ability to weaken the avatar’s level, so that players from your team can harm it. The concept is simple: Kill the wandering pyrefiends and jellies, and then collect the fragments that they drop. After that, run to the Soul Obelisk and use them on it. It’s wise to have multiple players killing each slayer monster because it’s multi-combat. This will speed up the process greatly. If you’re participating in this role, then all you have to worry about is item gathering and delivering.

Sometimes though, enemy players will try and stop you from collecting fragments. If you’re ever in a situation like this, then run to the Soul Obelisk as quickly as possible. Turn on the appropriate protection prayer as well. It’s a good idea to return the soul fragments in groups of ten. Don’t just hoard them for a long time. The object of this role is to lower the avatar’s level as quickly as possible, after all. You’re not helping your team out if you simply wait ten minutes before you decide to deliver the fragments.

Avatar Guarding

The role of avatar guarding is the simplest, and yet it’s also the most dangerous. Your duty here is to stop the opposing team from harming the avatar. The best way to handle this is to camp at specific locations near your base. Having everyone camp at one location isn’t good because if they break through that, then nothing is stopping them along the way to the avatar. Also, each guardian should have a full supply of bandages. This will help them stay alive longer.

A great combination is to team up mages with warriors. Mages can cast freezing/entangling spells to stop the enemy in its track while the warriors can attack them. Freezing spells help out a lot if the enemy breaks through your defence as well. It will stop them from progressing to the avatar.

Graveyard Conquering

A team of attackers should set out and try to conquer the graveyards. Taking over one of these will allow your team to spawn there (if they’re near it) when they die. This is very useful if you conquer the opposing team’s graveyard as it prevents a player from having to run a long distance to the avatar.

It’s a good idea to use warriors here because of their high defence bonuses. This will allow players to camp at graveyards longer. Bandages are also a must. The object here is basically guarding the graveyard and bandages aid with that greatly.

Mass Killing

This role basically entails having a group of players set out on a killing rampage. Their prime objective is to defeat enemies for bones (raises a team’s avatar level), kill soul fragment collectors, and kill the avatar.

6.0 – Rewards

While playing Soul Wars, you may notice that you’ll obtain Zeal points when the game ends. This is the currency that can be spent on various rewards. Three Zeal points are given to you if you win a game, two if it’s a draw, and one if you lose. The rewards that can be purchased with these range from experience in a few predetermined skills to new pets for Summoning! Check out the sections below for more information.

6.1 – Experience

For one Zeal you can claim a set amount of Attack, Strength, Defence, Hitpoints, Ranged, Magic, Prayer, or Slayer experience. This set amount of experience depends on your level in that skill. Spending more points at a time will reward you with a greater amount of experience.

6.2 – Charms

Charms can be bought with your Zeal points as well. The point cost increases as you go for higher leveled charms. Also, the amount of charms you receive is based on your combat stats. Higher combat stats will net you in more charms.

6.3 – Other

The last things Zeal points can be spent on are Summoning pets. Each pet requires a minimum Summoning level of four to use. There’s also the gamble option. For the cost of two Zeal points, you can gamble for a random reward. The random rewards can range from coins to dragon bones. Check out the FAQ for a more detailed reward list.

Q: Can I have two pets out that I get as a reward from this game?A: No.
